Monitoring & Asset Management on macOS

We are very excited to announce the release of TeamViewer Monitoring & Asset Management for macOS. This is an important achievement for our product and brings us one step closer to achieving our 2019 strategic goal: to support all operating systems. Monitoring & Asset Management is now available for Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems. The next step will be macOS functionality for Endpoint Protection and Backup.

What checks are available for macOS?

As a Monitoring & Asset Management user, you can have the following checks:

  • Online state
  • System updates
  • Processes
  • Disk space
  • Memory usage
  • CPU usage

More checks and features will be added over time based on user feedback and requirements.

Asset Data:

macOS users can view, audit, and export the following assets:

  • Software
  • All installed apps with installation dates
  • Operating system version and build
  • Hardware
  • All hardware components
  • Model name and Serial number (useful for warranty and identification purposes)

How can Monitoring & Asset Management for macOS be used?

  • Software requirements:
    • TeamViewer 14.2 release (14.2.2558 and newer) is required.
    • MacOS Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave (this should also work on El Capitan; however, this has not been tested).
  • It can be activated in the Management Console.
  • TeamViewer must be set up in order to start with the system.
  • Remote account assignment possible (the device must have the unattended password saved).
  • Client activation will follow with the next iteration.
  • Alerts can be seen in the:
    • Management Console Device view, Alarms View.
    • TeamViewer client for Windows.
  • Alerts in the TeamViewer client for macOS will be added in the next iteration.

Re: Monitoring & Asset Management on macOS

Dear Team

Is there a way to export the list view of Remote Management - Asset Management - Devices?

I would like to have a simple list with all the OS installed on all my devices.

That would be very handy!

Thanks for the question. Apologies for the late response.

At this moment the export feature works for a list of Assets. We will definitely add the OS in the list or add the print feature on the Device view.

If you see that anything else important is missing please let us know.
