Teamviewer doesn't launch on ubuntu 18.04

When I try to launch teamviewer on a fresh Ubuntu 18.04, it doesn't load.
I've tried launching from the terminal, which does this:
Init...
CheckCPU: SSE2 support: yes
Checking setup...
Launching TeamViewer ...
Launching TeamViewer GUI ...
But then nothing happens. I've tried everything in this thread: https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Linux/TV-13-on-Fresh-install-of-Ubuntu-18-04-not-loading-GUI/m-p/39503#M2409
But nothing works. The 64-bit version doesn't work. The 32-bit version doesn't work. Reinstalling everything doesn't work. The logs contain nothing.
