Ubuntu - the application teamviewer has closed unexpectedly

i, often (but not always, so maybe 40% of the time) I get a message analagous to this but instead of compiz it says teamviewer

 It happens immedieately after booting into Ubuntu 16.04, as soon as I have entered my password.

It has been going on for several months now and still no fix.
