keymapping / terminal emulation

Hi,  I've installed TeamViewer on Debian 9.  When I connect to another computer my <Enter> appears as an 'a' and there's no "Enter-ing" (CR-LF) happening. 

In a perfect world it would be a vt100 Terminal, (yes I know the world is an imperfect place), but is there a way to make <Enter> be interperted as  a CR-LF?
