Linux to Android does not work, other way around it does

I just installed the latest version of teamviewer from your website on my linux mint 19.2 laptop to control an android tablet. Samsung Tab S with android 6.0.1 . I cant control my tablet from my computer , but the other way around it works. WHen trying to connect from my computer i get a permission request on the tablet but after giving permission nothing happens. SInce i want to use the laptop to assist my parents with android issues i hope there is a simple solution.
