TeamViewer Linux on 4k HiDPI Displays

I just wanted to share my findings regarding TV12 on 4k/HiDPI displays:

Run TV in an terminal:

teamviewer winecfg

There in the graphics section you can set your DPI value.

In case the login windows disappears reset to 96dpi and try again...

setting dpi to more than 120 in winecfg leaves the login-window out of desktop-scope .. had to scale down to 96dpi to collect the wine-windows first , then set to 300dpi again .. now all works as expected .. thanks

    Hey,

I have this issue also. I got laptop with UHD screen. This means that Teamviewer is super small.

If I use winecfg to increase DPI size over 120 dpi then login/computer list is gone. I need DPI at least to 200.

  • actually my dpi-settings ist 200 .. i managed to do so by raising the value in small steps and at every restart keeping the two TV-windows within the screen .. now they stay where they should

Thank you! That workaround worked nicely!

BTW. Another problem. Now all my servers/clients are super tiny when I open connection. I managed to somewhat improve it by clicing "Scaled" under view tab, but that is just bad workaround.

    How to solve that?

    Don't forget to run `systemctl stop teamviewerd.service`

If the deamon is running the wine command will do nothing.

Hi. There is no difference if I run

    teamviewer winecfg

    or just

    teamviewer

and there is no setting like dpi anywhere...

I also cannot login as all entry fields like "e-mail" and "password" are disabled
