outdated architecture in debian linux archive

Hi all, i have been a user of teamviewer for many years used on MANY different systems, from windows to linux on MANY architectures.

on downloading TV12 archive for my debian linux system, i was presented with this error.:

root@terry-debian:/home/terry# sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_i386.deb
dpkg: error processing archive teamviewer_i386.deb (--install):
package architecture (i386) does not match system (amd64)
Errors were encountered while processing:
teamviewer_i386.deb

Isnt it about time this was upgraded to run on more architectures? 386 machines have not been around for MANY years.

even now this machine is ANCIENT, its an AMD athlon processor that i have had now for nearly 8 years. it has NO problems running the latest linux kernel, so why hasnt TV been updated?

i first started using TV on version 5, its now up to 12..

You need to use multiarch. There are many applications that require it, not only Teamviewer, it isn't anything novel. At a guess, it's more likely to be a limitation of wine than TV.
