Disappointment so far

Apologies if this belongs elsewhere (ideas?)...

Having heard very good things about TV I'm a little disappointed it's not great for my (relatively straightfoward) use cases.

Use case 1: android phone to android phone.
- there is no "click" functionality.
- I think this is because there is no add-on for my devices (Wileyfox Swift 1 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus).

My questions about this use case are:
- can another add-on (e.g. Samsung) be side-loaded to get the functionality?
- is it the server, the host, or both which need add-ons?

Use case 2: Control Linux box (Lubuntu i3WM running TV14) from android phone.
- there is no functionality to send key combinations, which are key (excuse the pun) to using the i3 window manager; and
- the 'super' key is mapped to alt-r for some reason, so even if the above worked it would not help me.

Question about use case 2:
- Both of the above seem to be known issues dating back a year or so - Is TV still in active development? If so how long before one can expect key combinations and 'super' functionality to be restored?
