TeamViewer host is Screen Sharing only on Samsung Galaxy A01
Hello TeamViewer staff,
I was wondering why TeamViewer Host app for Android is unable to remotely control my Samsung Galaxy A01 smartphone even though Samsung is listed as one of the supported brands for remote control, and the cellphone is relatively new (released Jan 2020). When I access it only Screen Sharing mode is available.
The Quick Support app allows me to control the phone. I was prompted for the Add-On install when I first ran the Quick Support app. But I need the advantage of the TeamViewer host app's ability to access phones without client-side intervention. In what scenario is the TeamViwer host app for android able to remotely control smartphones?
Thanks,
Ryan

Hi @jars23 ,
Thank you for your post ?
Unfortunately we can only control Samsung devices that have Knox, which means that by order of Samsung, you are not able to control without Knox.
You can see a list of Samsung devices and which ones have Knox here.
I apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Hope this information will help you.Kind regards,
