Add corporate PCs to 'Trusted Devices' in bulk

Hi

we have a corporate licence and want to create a package to install Teamviewer 14 to our company PCs (nor all, install is by demand).

Unfortunatelly the install process requests an email validation so that the PC becomes a 'Trusted Device' and access to the software is then allowed.

We don't want to setup a process so that each of our employees needs to answer a validation request at installation time.

How can I add a known ip range (that covers all of our company PCs) so that all of our devices are declared as 'Trusted Device' before hand? That way our employees won't have to confirm the Trusted Device email.

We've been using Teamviewer since version 9 and this new feature new at Teamviewer 14 won't allow us to use this version.

Thanks in advace.

    Hello @KoralK,

Great to see you posting for the first time! 🥳

Not exactly. The trusted device feature is only relevant for users who log in with their TeamViewer account on the device.

Deploying TeamViewer with MSI does not whitelist all accounts of your domain and does not bypass the trusted device feature. They will need to log in with the Trusted device feature.

Alternatively, we recommend enforcing Two-Factor Authentication to your users when they log into their accounts. You can manage this centrally, as described in the article here: Enable Two-Factor-Authentication enforcement on company members

💡 With Two-Factor Authentication enabled, you won't have to confirm the device via e-mail.

Let me know if this info could help you.

    Thanks for your answer JeanK

    • So MSI installation from AD only helps us t install teams bulk ? When we enable 2 factor authentication we as system admin receive email each time we need to connect user PC or the user receive the email?
    • Is this 2 factor auth. feature for instead of adding user PC to trusted devices list in bulk?

@KoralK Correct, the .msi installation helps to install TeamViewer in bulk.

There is no e-mail confirmation involved in the process when 2-factor authentication is activated.
