Changing remote resolution constantly

Hello, connecting to my home computer to do some remote work.. PC is connected to a 4k tv via a receiver and hdmi.. The resolution keeps changing and it started happening just recently(1 week)... PC has a Nvidia GT730 card... What can i do to get the remote resolution stable without compromising the TV resolution locally??  Thanks.

PS: generic PnP monitor keeps appearing/disappearing in device manager! :(

try to look at what is shown in this thread. Also try to search for previous posts that contain the term resolution.

Thanks, but i've already look at that thread and have done a search for this... none of the provided solutions helped... it is changing every few seconds so it's hard to even do anything unless i'm physically there on the machine itself.  :(
