Long time before connecting

Hi everyone,

Since a few weeks I have a very long time connecting to the remote PC.

It was near instantly done before, but now I have to wait sometimes up to a minute before I can see the remote screen.

Of course, no change in my internet access have occured since the change or I wouldn't have asked this.

Am I the only one having this behavior? Did someone found a way to restore fast access?

Thanks in advance for answers & best regards.

Hello I have exact same problem with new versions of TeamViewer. I'm connecting from MacOS to Windows machines and now it takes very long time.

    Hello @Flaxos,

    Thank you for posting here.

I just want to understand which part of the connection is slow.

Is it the establishment of the connection that takes a long time?

Or are you experiencing lags and connection latency during the remote control session?

    Hello Jean,

yes, it's the establishment of the connection that takes a longer time. On older versions of host clients it's much faster.

    Hello @Flaxos,

Thank you for sharing the input.

Can you try if disabling UDP when connecting to the "slow" machine works better?

To do so, please open your TeamViewer client and go to:

Extras → Options → Advanced → Advanced network settings and untick Use UDP.

If it does not help, please activate the UDP feature back again.
