Hello, I am Blind so, therefore, have to use specialised audible screen reader software in order to use the PC, I have been using Team Viewer for years now, both to assist other Blind People or VIPs (Visually Impaired People) as I prefer to call us and my technician uses it to repair any errors I have made.

Whenever I am trying to help someone they give me their 4 digit password consisting merely of numbers for example 0786 however when I sign in and my Technician asks for my password it comes up with 6 digits for example 3x54gf, why is this? Can anyone assist it putting it back to the 4 number ting like everyone else has please?

    Hello Bob1902,

The password strength can be changed in your TeamViewer Options:

    - Open Options

    - Open Security Tab

    - section "Random password"

But, if TeamViewer is configured to start automatically with the operating system (setting is under general options) or configured to "close to tray menu" (setting is in advanced options), minimum password strength is six characters and it is not possible to change to a simple 4 digit password.

Disabling both "start with system" and "close to tray menu" will be needed to be allowed to use a 4 digit random password.

    regards,

    Frank
