Problem with Remote Control of iMac

Good Day,

Not sure if I'm in the right forumn, but I'm having trouble remote controlling my 2017 iMac running 10.14 from my iPad Pro.  I get screen access but am unable to control anything on the imac.  I can't click on folders, or apps etc.  Need to get this fixed today if possible just incase I need something while I'm doing a FEMA deployment.

Any help is appreciated.
