Teamviewer for Macbook Pro

Having trouble opening Teamviewer on my MacBook Pro (Mac OS Sierrra 10.12.6). The icon bounces several times on my doc and then closes. Have trashed the app several times and downloaded again with no luck opening.  Any suggestions?
