Teamviewer not running on partner computer

From Windows 10, using either Internet Explorer 11 or Google Chrome (lastest version), I can no longer make a connection to my home computer using WebConnector (installing the desktop application or the chrome extension is not an option). I get the message 'Teamviewer not running on parner computer.' This is new as a month ago I was able to do this from the same computer. However, when I launch the iOS app (latest version), the iPhone (LTE) and iPad (same wifi as the PC) can connect to the same device that WebConnector connection says teamviewer not running on partner computer. The message doesn't make sense because I can in fact make connections from other devices. Any clues on why and how this may be resolved. I even rebooted the remote computer (from the iOS teamviewer connection nonetheless).

Nothing new, other than I can replicate the issue on Windows 7, and also with IE using IE10 and IE9 emulation mode.

    Hi there,

Thank you all for your feedback.

As we mentioned earlier, we resolved the malfunction last week.

Due to technical reasons, it was necessary to implement a rollback so that the Web Connector will not work again.

I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and ask for your patience until we can fix it.

Needless to say, I will keep you up to date here. Would it be possible for you to connect via the client or use the TeamViewer Portable for so long? We'll do our best to help you get back to work as usual.

Thank you very much for your patience and wish you a good start into the new week.

    All the best,
    Natascha

I am new to Teamviewer. I installed it on my Windows 10 PC in Central America 3 days ago and tested the connection.

Yesterday I returned to the US. Today I tried to login and received the error "Teamviewer not running on partner computer". I am managing a large public message center sign in Costa Rica. Do I need to fly back down there to resolve this or can it be fixed remotely?

I'm getting this now on Teamviewer 14. I KNOW it is in fact running, but it thinks not and I can't connect. Frustrating. I'm running TV on a Surface Pro running Win10. The partner is a PC running Win7. I see posts saying the problem has been fixed, but not from where I sit. ??? I've used TV for 2years with no issues until this srated in the the last few weeks.

What do i do if I get the same message? I tried to connect my husband’s LG PHOENIX to my iphone 7 it took many tries before i finally got connected. But now i have been trying to connect but it tells me TeamViewer not running on partner’s computer. I also tried to connect to LG phoenix using samsung A7 latest release but it gives me the same error.

I'm still receiving the same message about teamviewer not running on partner computer. I have free version so very disappointed tech support cannot help me resolve the issue. Been receiving this message for a week.

If you have Teamviewer free version do not expect ANY help.

They are only interested in commercial paid accounts..

    Try Chrome remote..No problems

You say you were able to 'Identify and resolve the malfunction'  but nothing was fixed. The management console says I have been 'offline for 5 months'  and the computer I want to connect to is also shown to be 'offline';  today is this first day I have been having this problem but I am not seeing any solution to others who posted several months ago. Please advise as to how this can be resolved; I really don't want to have to go somewhere else for this service. Thank you, JeStolle

  • I keep getting this message Teamviewer not running on partner computer.  nothing has changed on my end from yesterday except that I closed the teamviewer window instead of leaving it open.  please help. I need to do some work asap.

I'm still having this same issue after 2 weeks. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling teamview, but it still doesn't work. Can someone help me get this issue resolved?

I am having this issue yet and am unable to see how to resolve it. When I click on Solution it redirects and tells me it is not avaliable.  HELP!

I finally got my issue fixed. It was the team viewer id on the partner computer had changed. If you are receiving the same message, double check the team viewer id's. I was told by Teamviewer's FB messenger support that the error is with the computer you are trying to connect to if you are receiving the error message "teamviewer not running on partner computer". Hope this helps.

  • Hello,

I have the same problem, TEamviewer not running on partner computer.

I'm getting this Error ALL THE TIME!

Sorry but your software is just not working correctly at all.

I will have to find an Alternative.

  • There seem to be 3 ways this problem can be resolved, if it is resolvable on the end users side -

    1. Reboot both computers.
    2. Uninstall and reinstall Teamviewer.
    3. Check to see if Teamviewer ID has changed on remote machine, and add new ID to Teamviewer you're trying to connect from (delete old, outdated entry)

Those are the 3 solutions you might try if this problem has come up on your machines.  If one of these doesn't fix it, then it's something out of your control and that Teamviewer Support will have to look into.

  • Thanks for your reply.  We eventually discovered that the other side was using an old ID, and it worked once we used the new one.
