No connection to server, Arch linux

Downloaded the tarball for unsupported systems.  When I click teamviewer in the folder it works great, connects to server and accepts inbound/outbound connections.  However it does not allow for unattended access until I install teamviewer.  

After I install teamviewer it no longer connects to server or accepts inbound connections.  What's the problem with the installed version that the non-installed version is able to solve?
