Scammers Requesting People to Download Teamviewer 11

I just had a scammer pretending to be from Microsoft wanting me to download Teamviewer 11

(It was a slow day at work so I kept them on the phone for 30 mins

I was wondering why they wanted me to download that particular version. They did not want me to download the latest version. Is it flawed in any way?

Also should you request deletion of that link from Filehippo in order to make life more difficult for them
