I have talked with a friend in Shanghai and he confirms the issue. We have found that it is probably a regional problem in Shanghai with China Telecom. I think the issue is to be found there. It is questionable whether TeamViewer can do anything in this case. Because China Telecom must fix the problem and I believe that it will lie outside the sphere of influence of TeamViewer.

The thing is that, there must be sufficient technical information provided even if Shanghai users wants to escalate this to China Telecom.

As of now, all the tests that we were instructed to perform doesn't provide anything concrete that we can bring to China Telecom -- server names are solvable, servers are pingable, traceroutes look fine, but connections are not going through. All the answers I've got from China Telecom now is simply to throw the ball back to TV.

So the situation is as simple as this: TV and CT playing volleyball.

I'm wondering if there is a solution to make teamviewer work temporarily before the problem is realy solved. I noticed teamviewer can get online via proxy server. Can we create a proxy server on a working ISP network like China Unicom, and then configure the teamviewer on problematic network to use this proxy? Is this way able to bring teamivewer activated? Is there any special requirements for teamviewer work with proxy server? Does Squid proxy server on linux support this kind of usage? Hope Teamviewer support can gvie a suggestion. Thanks.

Just did a quick test, but it didn't look good:

TV still cannot login (on my laptop, it keeps prompting my "Please check your connection"; on my PC, it simply says "LAN only," though I'm not sure why there is this distrinction).

Ping-ing masterX.teamviewer.com still works flawlessly, but telnet-ing to the 3 ports all fails now! Is there any further test we can do to help pinpoint the exact problem?

We are still having the issue at our China facility.  Teamveiwer machines that have not rebooted since before the issue started are still connected.  If the teamviewer service is restarted it will no longer connect. I can ping the master servers and access the teamviewer website from the machines.

I just noticed this problem today, still having issues when running my phone on data. Fine when on wifi.

I got an email from TV on Friday that the problem had been resolved, but I saw no change. I'm (trying to connect) from Shanghai. Our company uses China Telecom. Logging into the Management Consul shows all my machines are offline. There is still some work to do.
