resolution 2560x1440 is changed to 2560x1600 (former is missing, please add)

Hi,

The list of resolutions is missing 2560x1440 which is a popular resolution among 32" and 27" monitors. When connecting to a remote machine that has this resolution, the TV is changing the resolution to 2560x1600 ... this is undesired behavior as it caues a rearrangement of all desktop icons, as well as botching some hidpi applications.

Could you please add 2560x1440 to the list of supported reswolutions such that the remote machine's resolution is not changed?

    Please check the supported resolutions in the remote system screen settings. Is it really supporting 2560x1440?

    TeamViewer does not automatically change the remote resolution, and also it does not have a fixed list of supported resolutions. That list is provided by the remote system.

    Yes, TV does change it upon connection. And no, 2560x1440 is not in the list of resolutions. The list has most resolutions up to 2048x1536 then jumps to 2560x1600.

    What systems are involved? E.g. from Windows to Windows?

    Are you connecting via the C&C list? If so, please open the properties of that Contact, click advanced and make sure there is no resolution set.

    Also, you are saying that TeamViewer forces a higher resolution on the monitor than it is specified for. I can hardly believe that.
    However, most relevant is not the spec of the monitor, but what your operating system says.

    Therefore, please connect to that system, (if Windows) right-click the desktop, choose display settings, open the resolution dropdown. Then, open the resolution dropdown in the TeamViewer toolbar. They should match. If not, take a screenshot.

    Please support view remote computer from dual monitors that each have 2560x1440 resolution which would likely be a 2560*2 x 1440= 5120x1440. I don't know since I've never got it to work. The PC i'm remoting into doesn't have monitors but teamviewer thinks the max is 2048x12xx something. gosh frustrating.
