device backup function

Has anyone attempted to use TV's backup function with sparse file (a.k.a. 'dynamic' file)? Will such a file be backed up keeping its 'sparse' attributes - i.e. will the copied file's size be 'Size on disk' |OR| maximum 'Size'? EG: see image below...

To date, I've found one backup tool that handles sparse files properly - FreeFileSync.
