Android TeamViewer connecting to headless Android Device - How to set Screen Resolution

I have installed both TV Host and Quicksupport on a headless Android device (the kind that displays on HDMI TV), and have no problem remoting from my Android phone. However, I suspect the default screen resolution is high (1080p maybe?) and lags badly over the internet, even though I set the quality to "optimize speed". I would like to set a lower resolution but I can't find this option on the Remote Control app. Is setting screen resolution on the app possible?
