Changing account password - will it log out remote machines?
Hi all,
We would like to update our Teamviewer account password. We have a number of machines (40+) logged into our single corporate account.
If I do so will all instances of Teamviewer be logged out until the credentials are updated locally on each machine? As we have a number of servers in racks with no mouse / keyboard, doing this manually to each one would be very frustrating.
Is there anything I have missed here?
Kind regards,
Aliki

Hi @arodgers
Thank you for your post.
Yes - all devices will be logged out until the credentials are updated manually.
Please note, that the license is only required on one side of the connection. Do you maybe have the possibility to connect to all these devices from a machine that has a mouse and a keyboard and enter the credentials within a remote session?
Let me know if I may help you any further.
Have a great day.

Hi Natasha,
Thank you very much for the quick reply!
Cool, I will ensure that I change the password on a single machine and then run a remote session to each device to re login with the new credentials.
Is there anything else I need to consider before doing this?
Kind regards,
Aliki

Hi @arodgers
You're welcome Really appreciate your fast answer.
Yes, this would be the best way.
Just make sure, that you have all IDs and all passwords to connect. Nothing else needs to be considered.

Ok gotcha,
So I will need to connect to each machine manually via the unique ID + local password then re sign in with our Account details so it fully populates all of our machines.
Many thanks for your support,
Aliki
