ID set as free but still shows Trial Expired

I got the email from TeamViewever Service about informing me that my ID has been reset to “free”, and your use case can be qualified as “personal”.
However it is still unable to use remote control. It said my trial version expired. I restarted some times, but it didn't work. Anyone knows what's the next action should I do to solve this promlem.

Re: ID set as free but still shows Trial Expired

Hi @joyce_you,

Thank you for your post.

Can you please restart your TeamViewer service? Should work properly afterwards. :)
If there are any further questions, please let us know.

Hi @rtsheole,

Thank you for your message. If you are connecting to your colleagues in a work environment, a license is required. TeamViewer is free only for personal use to help family and friends.
Please let us know, if you have any further questions.

I wish you both a great week and all the best,
Natascha.

Re: ID set as free but still shows Trial Expired

I am having the same problem. I installed it for personal use and it comes up with expired trial?

Restarting the program and PC does not change it. So how do I get it to work?

Re: ID set as free but still shows Trial Expired

Hi Natascha,

I'm experiencing the same problem of "expired trial" even if my TeamViewer ID has been reset to free. I tried to uninstall/reinstall the soft, clean the registry, all the tips and tricks I could find online, but still, the situation remains the same on this computer.

By "restart the TeamViewer service", you mean the service running on the computer I'm trying to access ?

Because I don't know what else I should do on the computer I'm using to access the remote computer ?

Thanks in advance for your help

Re: ID set as free but still shows Trial Expired

Hi @jacottin ,

Thank you for your post.

Could you please double check the ID where the message appears is the same ID that you submitted on the form? It could be the other ID in the connection that is flagged. If this were the case, the other ID would need its own form in order to remove the message.

Please restart both sides and try the connection again. If the issue persists, please submit the form for the second ID.

Hope this will be helpful.

Best regards,
Yuri

Re: ID set as free but still shows Trial Expired

Hello Yuri,

Thanks for your answer. By "the other ID", you mean the ID of the computer I'm trying to remotely access ? It doesn't have any problem. I have access to it without any problem if I use my cell phone to access it. It also works from another computer. I just have an issue with my computer (user ID **Please do not post TeamViewer IDs**).

I resubmited the request to reset the account last Monday but haven't had any news since then.

On the computer where I have the problem, where is stored the info saying that my "ID" has an expired trial version ? Couldn't I "erase" this info to make a clean start on the computer ?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: ID set as free but still shows Trial Expired

Hi @jacottin ,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, the other ID means that the ID of the computer you try to remotely access.
If you confirm that the endpoint device has no problem, you need to raise a ticket with the local TeamViewer ID because clean uninstalling and install TeamViewer again does not help in this situation.

Also you might need to wait for the reply upto 7 business days.

Hope this information will be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding and all the best.
Yuri
