Kyocera E6810, no longer allowing remote

Our E6810 devices have updated to Android 7.2 and since then are no longer allowing remote control. We can still connect to the device to transfer files but every time we initiate a remote contoll we get a message that the partner rejected the request. There is nothing prompting on the device. We have uninstalled the app the plugin kyocera 2 and also tried a full factory reset.
