Not working after Teamviewer 14 upgrade

I have been happily using the free version of Teamviewer (not sure what version it was) on two computers for personal use.  Recently I upgraded to the TeamViewer 14 version (mistake!) and now I can't get it to work.  Says I don't have a connection, gives me screens regarding proxy, etc, nothing was changed.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still no joy.

Any ideas?
