Only able to connect when vpn on

Hello

Ive got an odd issue not sure how to resolve. My remote machine is seen as oofline, except when that machine has its vpn connected. Then it comes online in teamviewer.

Any idea why thia might be the case? Any help much appreciated, thanks

    Thanks for your post.

    Can you check whether the TeamViewer ID is differently when not connected via VPN?

    If so: Just save the second ID as well in your Computers & Contacts list.

    Thanks for the reply, I just looked and it says 'only lan connections allowed' in bottom of window and has the machines ip as the id.

    Any idea what im missing?

    Hi again,

    in these cases only LAN connections are possible.

    Can you check your TeamViewer Options. Extras --> Options --> General --> Incoming LAN connections

    Which option is enabled? Can you switch to deactivated or accepted and see whether this helps?

    Hello

     

    It was on accepted, switched it to deactivated and now get a red light at the bottom and a message of 'not ready, please check your connection'

    Hi @joeco

    Does it help if you restart the TeamViewer service when there is no possible connection?

    If you are using a 3rd party VPN, you have to restart the TeamViewer service after you switched the VPN on or off.
