Repeating characters after punctuation

Android phone to windows pc (galaxy s8 to windows 7, 8.1 and 10). Does not happen windows to windows.
Entering 2 characters after a special character causes everything up to the second character to repeat.
Examples
Ip address
192.1 goes in fine, adding a 6 results in 192.1192.1
Passwords
abc@1 is fine, adding a 2 results in abd@1abc@1
Urls
google.c is fine, adding an o results in google.cgoogle.c
Any ideas? Anyone else see this?
