Teamviewer will NOT connect to my desktop, laptop is fine

It says that my desktop is online, but I am UNABLE to connect to it! TeamViewer always hangs "connecting" for several minutes then it just quits trying to connect! No error message, it just refuses to connect!

So I tried connecting to my laptop and it lets me in lickety split. It just WILL NOT connect to my desktop. What I need is on my desktop!

I CANNOT even do just a file transfer—literally the same problem occurs if I just do a file transfer!
