Apparently using the application installer in CentOS 7 to remove or yum remove didn't cleanup everything from previous installs. In order to cleanup everything I had to follow the steps provided by support:
Below are the steps to complete:
- Open the Terminal
- Please run the command (without the quotations) " cd / " to go into the root directory. After this step, you shall see something similar to " user@ubuntu:/$ "
- Now once in the root directory please run the command to delete all associated files and folders (without the quotations) " sudo rm -rf /home/*/.local/share/teamviewer* /home/*/.config/teamviewer /opt/teamviewer; "
- Now all associated files and folders will be removed and its time to download and install TeamViewer from our website.
After these steps, everything is working now

Running CentOS 7.2 w/TV12 (gnome desktop) I upgraded to TV 12 (RPM installer) from TV11 which was working fine on the host. While it appeared to upgrade without a problem, TeamVIewer will now no longer open (GUI). The service and daemon are both running, no errors, but the GUI never launches at all. I've restarted several times, removed TV entirely, reinstalled 11 (which now no longer works either), removed again, re-installed 12, same result. I have 6 other identical servers which are running TeamViewer 11 and 12 without a problem. I logged a support case but I'm hoping someone has some insight to point me in the right direction here.
