For reasons that have now been fixed, I stayed on the version 10 Quick Support module. It was 5.4MB file size which downloads from the web in a reasonable time. It takes 7 seconds to be ready when loaded from a local disc. So I just tried v14 Quick Support module. It is now a 16.8MB file size which triples the download delay (while both my customer & I wait).. It now takes 24 seconds to be ready when loaded from a local disc. So the cumulative improvement in 3 years is that it is 3 times more bloated and 3 times slower ! So my question for community discussion is this... Is it time that TeamViewer offered a simplified, cut-down edition of Quick Support ? I propose that the build process have options to leave out whole sections that are not needed by the person creating the custom module. For example, Audio and Video that I never use. What do others think ?
