How to provide effective and secure remote support with TeamViewer Remote
In today's interconnected world, remote access solutions have become essential for efficient collaboration and troubleshooting. TeamViewer Remote is a powerful and user-friendly tool that enables remote connections between users and devices, providing seamless assistance and support. In this blog post, we will explore how to establish a connection via attended access, allowing you to effectively connect with and assist remote users. Let's get started!
What is Attended Remote Support?
Attended remote support is a connection method that allows authorized individuals (experts) to connect to a remote user's device (participants). In this context, the participant is physically in front of the remote device, and the connection is established with the remote user's knowledge and consent.
How does it work?
Step 1: The expert creates and shares the remote session
In the new TeamViewer Remote interface, the expert can create and share a remote session via the Remote Support tab. You can follow the steps in this short video:
Step 2: The participant joins the remote session's waiting room
📌Note: Joining a session does not require a TeamViewer account.
Participants who do not have the full client installed can join a remote session via QuickSupport. To join a session via QuickSupport watch the video below.
Please see the full instructions here.
Participants with the full client installed can join a remote session by entering the session code the expert shared with them within the main interface’s Get help section.
If the expert sent the participant a session link, they can open the session link in their browser and select Open when the prompt appears on the top of the page.
Please see the full instructions here.
Step 3: The expert starts the remote session
Once the participant has joined the remote session, the expert can start it.
