Advantages of Using the Web App
The web app has gained significant popularity due to its numerous advantages over traditional software installations. With its platform independence, ease of use, and seamless integration capabilities, the web app offers a compelling solution for businesses and individuals. In this article, we will explore the key benefits of using the web app, including improved accessibility, reduced maintenance overhead, and enhanced data protection.

Technical Advantages of the Web App
Platform Independence
One of the most significant advantages of the web app is its platform independence. Users can access the web app from any device with a compatible web browser, regardless of the operating system they are using. Whether it's a Windows PC, macOS, Linux, or even a mobile device, the web app offers a consistent experience across all platforms, eliminating compatibility concerns and enabling greater flexibility.
User Account Requirement
The web app (as well as the native app) operates exclusively within the context of user accounts, ensuring a secure and personalized experience. By requiring users to log in, organizations can enforce access controls, manage permissions, and track user activity effectively. This heightened level of security helps protect sensitive information and prevents unauthorized access.
No Installation Required
Unlike traditional software, the web app eliminates the need for time-consuming installations. Users can simply access the application through their web browser, reducing deployment time and eliminating potential conflicts with existing software. This ease of access makes the web app an ideal solution for users who require quick and hassle-free access to applications and services.
"Web First" Approach
The "web first" approach, exemplified by technologies like Microsoft WebView2, allows for easy integration of web-based applications into other programs. Developers can leverage web technologies to create hybrid applications that combine the power of the web with the flexibility of desktop applications. This approach simplifies integration efforts, enabling seamless interoperability between different software solutions and minimizing disruptions in workflow.
Smooth Integrations
The web app ensures a seamless integration experience by eliminating the "media break" between applications. In traditional software installations, switching between different programs often involves transitioning between separate user interfaces. However, with the web app, all integrations occur within the browser, providing a consistent and uninterrupted user experience. This is particularly advantageous for enterprises using business applications like Salesforce, as it enables them to maintain workflow continuity without the need to switch between different software interfaces.
Feature Parity with Installed Clients
The web app offers almost all the features and functionality of its installed counterparts. Users can access the same set of tools, perform tasks, and enjoy the same user experience as they would with a locally installed client.
📌Note: Users can't receive incoming connection with the web app. This is only possible with a native TeamViewer module (full client, Host, or QuickSupport).
Advantages for your organization
Apart from the general benefits mentioned above, the web app brings specific advantages to your organization:
FOSS List Updates
Companies are often required to update Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) lists periodically, especially when software installations occur. However, by leveraging the web app, organizations can significantly reduce the need for such updates. As the web app does not involve software installations, the FOSS list updates become obsolete, streamlining administrative processes and reducing maintenance efforts.
Data Protection and PII
With installed clients that have activated connection logging, ensuring data protection and Personal Identifiable Information (PII) deletion can be challenging. However, by utilizing the web app, this concern is mitigated. As the web app operates within the browser, it does not store connection logs on local systems, thus enhancing data privacy and minimizing the risk of data breaches.

If we need to modify software on the remote system, most likely we would get thrown UAC prompt to enter in admin credentials (are users do not have local admin rights). Would we be able to enter in admin creds at this prompt and get past that? Or no, that's only possible with a full teamviewer install or the teamviewer host client?

I'm sorry, your entire site doesn't make sense. I certainly wouldn't pay money for a site as confusing as this.
