Dear TeamViewer Tensor customers,

We are happy to announce the release of TeamViewer Tensor’s brand-new interface, making you more efficient than ever. This exciting release brings a modern look to enhance your user experience. But here's the kicker – you're in full control!

Explore the new TeamViewer Tensor interface now by signing in via https://web.teamviewer.com/.

Empowerment through TeamViewer policies

As an administrator, you now have the power to define which interface is used on your devices. With TeamViewer policies, the choice is yours to make and enforce across your entire IT infrastructure.

Let's walk you through the process.

Step 1: Create the TeamViewer policy

To create the TeamViewer policy that will enable you to control your devices' user interface, please follow the instructions below:

Sign in with your TeamViewer credentials at https://login.teamviewer.com/

  1. Go to Design & Deploy.
  2. Go to the Policies tab.
  3. Click the + button.
  4. In the policy settings search bar, click the drop-down arrow, type "TeamViewer", and select the setting called TeamViewer interface.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Select which interface you want to apply to your devices in the Interface setting: Classic or New.
  7. Select whether you want to enforce the setting on your devices by clicking the toggle accordingly. Please find more information on the UI behavior regarding the "Enforce" setting here.
  8. Give the policy a name and click Create.

Congratulations, you've just created the TeamViewer policy that will put you in charge of your device interfaces.

Step 2: Apply Your Policy

To apply your new TeamViewer policy to your devices, simply follow the instructions provided in the videos below.

📌Note: Remember that changes in the user interface will take effect after a TeamViewer restart.

Interface Enforcement Behavior

The beauty of TeamViewer Tensor is that you can customize the user interface based on your preferences. Here's how the enforcement behavior works:

  • Non-enforced setting: If you choose not to enforce the setting, the selected interface will display with a toggle in the top-right corner of the application. This allows your end-users the flexibility to switch between the Classic and the New interface, giving them the freedom to choose.
  • Enforced setting: However, if you opt to enforce the setting, the selected interface will appear without the toggle, removing the option for end-users to switch. This is perfect for ensuring a consistent interface experience across your organization.

Ready to get started? Sign into your account now via https://web.teamviewer.com/ and experience the new interface with TeamViewer Tensor.

Happy connecting,

/JeanK

In a managed environment, it’s common to use prefixes on hostnames. Is there a feature in the new TeamViewer Tensor interface that allows us to create a filter to search for a specific prefix and then apply a policy to that filter? This would be a valuable addition for managing our systems. - Best Tom

Greetings @tomech, and welcome to the TeamViewer Community!

Currently, it is possible to search for a specific prefix. For this, you can use the search bar.

However, it is only possible to connect to the device via the search bar. It's not possible to manage policies.

As it's a great idea, I'll pass your idea to our product team!

Let me know if you have any further questions! I'll be happy to assist.

Am I to understand, in for Tensor accounts to use the new interface we must use the web agent because the issue with the full desktop client has still not been resolved?

    Hi @JohnCoffey,

Thank you for reaching out! 🙂

Could you please tell me about the issue with the full client you are referring to?

    Thanks in advance!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
