For personal use, Easy Access works on User Account on one PC, but not the other...why?

Hello,

I have setup teamviewer on my two kids Windows 11 PCs. On their PCs I am the only admin, and they are each a user on their respective PC.

I was able to setup easy access on one of the PCs without issue and cannot on the other…which is saying it requires admin access. If i run Teamviewer with Admin rights, it give an error about being unable to write to certain edge directory. If I change my kids account to an admin account, then add easy access, then change back to user account, the easy access is automatically removed. Why am I having problems with this one PC?

Is it because of the version, and if yes, how do I get 15.54.5.

PC 1 (Easy access Working): Version 15.54.5 (64-bit)

PC 2 (Easy access not working): Version 15.54.6 (64-bit).

@tvsupportMatt, unfortunately your suggestion did not work.

After much troubleshooting, i managed to get another solution to partially work.

    1. sign into my windows account (which is admin).

    2. start teamviewer and sign in with my sons teamviewer credentials.

    3. configure with easy access to my personal account. And configure settings as desired.

    4. Sign into my son’s windows user account.

    5. Start teamviewer and sign in with my son’s teamviewer credentials.

Seems to be working so far. Will update if anything changes.

Not happy….this is a cumbersome setup.

    Hello @w1se

Good to see you posting again! ✨

I would suggest logging into kids user profile as normal and before running TeamViewer as an admin, run Microsoft Edge as an admin first.

This should eliminate the error you reference involving edge, and allow you to then establish easy access with the device.

Let us know how it goes and if you need further help.
