Need help to use the Free Version of Team Viewer

My last use of TV was ver 15.4.8332 and I would like to use the latest Free version to help a friend. I am a knowledgeable computer user and assist a few of my senior friends with problems with software operation and occasional Windows issues. I DO NOT ACCEPT ANY FEES for this assistance and I have a ID # on file but apparently either more information is needed or ???

Please advise on how I can provide occasional computer assistance remotely.

We're happy to advise you about the best practices for providing remote assistance for your friends and family.

When you establish a remote connection to your partner with the TeamViewer ID, the password displayed on the remote side is also necessary.

However, you can also create remote sessions that don't require an ID or password. Using a simple link, your friend can join the session with just one click.
