Is it possible to temporarily pause the Teamviewer EndPoint Protection on a device from the control panel? This can be particularly useful when investigating issues.
Hi @Scottish_Dave
Thanks for the message,
At this moment you can create a "Maintenance Policy" -> with Everything turned off(Real-time Protection, Outlook Addin, no Scans added) and without any scans setup.
Every time you need to troubleshoot a device you need to go to the Device View for Endpoint protection and then select the "Maintenance Policy". With a few clicks, the device will not scan or generate any reports.
We are thinking of adding a button specifically for this. let me know if the Policy change works for you.
Thanks for the solution. It is a very common requirement, from an engineering point of view, to have the ability to pause AV for a set time usually 10-15 mins whilst testing. There is a risk associated with it but usually it is done under specific test conditions controlled by the engineer. A button or option in the control panel would be a good solution.
