Blizz not connected

I've installed Blizz on a managed iPad and tried to test it with a laptop on the same network. 

Laptop was able to generate a meeting ID, start meeting, broadcast screen etc. However, iPad app says the following on the landing screen:

Blizz

Not connected

Start Meeting (greyed out)

My meeting ID: Not ready...

Enter Meeting ID

Join (greyed out, even when valid meeting ID entered)

 

Any ideas what might be causing the issue? I assumed firewall/port problems at first but other devices on the same network are working fine.

In the Settings tab, the words "Blizz is offline" are shown.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
