Remote maintenance of digital artwork from anywhere in the world

Since his early childhood, Davide Coltro had a very strong affinity towards art and his Italian family regularly received famous artists as guests in their own home.

After spending a considerable amount of years of his life in a technical career, Davide decided to dedicate all of his life to art again.

Following his new path of life, Davide managed to combine the old with the new and art with technology.

Davide's artwork consists of digital images from the classical genres of figure, portrait, landscape and still life.

Those images change form in slow-motion and due to a specific algorythm in the background the sequence of the images never remains the same.

One could say, Davide's work is perfectly contemporary, always moving in time and evolving into something new.

As Davide's work is fully digitalized, remote maintenance or changes on the artwork are quite critical.

Some of his pieces hang in public or private galleries all over the world and whenever there is a technical problem, Davide simply uses TeamViewer to directly remote into his work.

To find out more about Davide Coltro's work we have compiled a short video for you.

For Davide, TeamViewer is not only necessary for remoting into his work for small little changes, TeamViewer is also a very important tool for him for troubleshooting.

Davide told us how he once exhibited 100 different pieces of artwork in the Biennale in Venice and how, at the start of the event, all of the screens suddenly turned black.

Davide and his team of friends then got onto TeamViewer and managed to get the systems going within a few hours. This basically saved the whole exhibition week for him.

When we found out about Davide's story and use case we immediately wanted to talk to him. We really love this specific unique use case, yet we know that there are so many more interesting stories out there.
