Can I use teamviewer VPN to connect to another device

Hi, I think I know the answer to this... but here goes...

We have a machine in a remote factory that can be operated via software on a windows PC.
I've been asked to look at Teamviewer VPN functionality to see if we can connect the machine via LAN cable to a local PC, connect the local PC to a remote PC via VPN and use software on the remote PC to operate the machine... I've set up a test with a two PC's and I can establish the teamviewer VPN tunnel but I can't ping the second nic's IP address.... Is there a way to do it?
