TV_15.9.5
Current version of teamviewer does not allow pre-login access on linux.
Community disccsion in linux chats shows that this capability was broken in the upgrade from 15.9.5 to the current version.
I'm looking for the .deb of the 15.9.5 version, and the website "previous version" options only give the last released versions of the major numbers , e.g. 11, 12, 14, etc...
In general, it's important that all versions be available for precisely this reason.... the developers can break any number of features, and unless it is instantly patched, there needs to be a rollback capability for users that rely on this software.
Please provide a link for the 15.9.5 version.
Thank you

same problem here, and can't find the .deb file for the working version. I also tried the beta version but it doesn't work anyway.
UPDATE:
After following the solution to this url https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Linux-EN/Teamviewer-13-not-connecting-in-Ubuntu-18-04-Login-Screen/td-p/35342
and trying with Teamviewer-Host 15.12.3 (DEB) on Ubuntu Desktop 20.04.1 seems to work after rebooting and waiting at least 5 minutes.
To install version 15.12.3 I edited the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/teamviewer.list (stable commenting and enabling preview).
Now it looks like this:
#deb https://linux.teamviewer.com/deb stable main
deb https://linux.teamviewer.com/deb preview main
#deb https://linux.teamviewer.com/deb development main1 -
Thanks for the update.
The linked solution seems to be for linux devices running wayland... and the solution is essentially disabling wayland. fair enough.
But I'm confused because my machine is running x11 sessions... and as such, shouldn't require the "fix" of disabling wayland.
Additionally, I'm skeptical of using a repository to obtain a fix, since the repo can be "updated" with a broken version at any moment. and thus disable any further servers from being setup with a known working version of teamviewer.
This debalce will ensure that I will always keep offline copies of installer .deb files in future ... but for now, can anyone send me a known working version of the .deb file?
please PM me if you have such a file, it would be much appreciated.

[Bump] - anyone have any update for the .deb locations?
Bueller, Bueller, Bueller...🙄
