Dual monitors in individual windows on MacOS

My PC has 2 screens, but my MacBook has 1. Anyone who's used a MacBook knows how convenient it is to slide between windows using gestures, is it possible to open the individual monitors in separate windows so I can easily swap between them? Or is there a workaround to get the same functionality?

So apparently you just have to open a second connection to the same device, which I didn't know you could do....
