TV being blocked by ISP

I have been having issues accessing my company computers remotely. We work in very remote locations that use spotty, metered connections that is admin by the client, who's location we work on. The Client has decided to block TV due to data usage concerns. I can no longer use TV to remote access my devices. The TV screens on the remote computer sits idel "Not Ready" What solutions can we offer to reduce the usage and how could I even tell how much a connection is using?
