Hi, i want to turn on my pc using wan, First i tried using lan in teamviewer using another pc and it's work great now i tried to do it using public ip, so in teamviewr i typed my public ip and port: 9 then in my router i did:

External Port: 9

Internal Port: 9

Internal IP Address: 192.168.1.220 (My ip)

Protocol: UDP

I'm using asus router.

Then when i tried to test it and i turned off my pc it didn't worked.

any ideas why?

Ok, so if it says closed than one of a few things are amis.

Either your public IP isn't public

your ISP blocks ports

you are checking the wrong ip address

your router, or fire walls are not letting it through

I would say double check your IP address using whatsmyip.org

Who is your ISP?

Do you have commercial internet, or residential internet?

I don't think my ISP is blocking my port, but yeah it says it's closed.

It is possible that your ISP is blocking port 9 have you tried scanning your ip to confirm it is open. Also if you do not have commercial internet, they may be blocking more than just port 9.
