trouble logging into another PC

Hello...just the last couple weeks I have been having trouble logging into my father's and father-in-laws PC to help them with matters. Before I had passwords for them and i had to simply enter it to get access to their PC...now it asks for the passwords that appear on their screen and I have to call them and get the 6 digit (number/letter combo) to get access. This combo number changes often too.

Any idea what got changed on my end or their end?
