Unable to access computer remotely. Error states "partner isn't connected to the internet or..."

Of course those two things are not the case. TeamViewer is running on the computer I'm trying to access, and it is connected to the internet. I'm able to access a different computer in the office without issue.
The only difference between the two that i can discern is one has a password protected Windows 10 profile, and the other that I CAN access does not. Is there a way to access the computer remotely using TeamViewer even if the Windows 10 profile is password protected?
