Connecting Two computers on same WiFi

Hello All, I am getting kicked off from TeamViewer after 5 mins due to a timeout message. I did some research and found out there is a way for me to connect my computers without a TeamViewer server since I can connect them through LAN.
I read articles about LAN connectivity but in my case, I have the same wifi on both machines since both are in my apartment and linked to the same wifi connection. Can anybody please help with what will be the easiest way to connect them locally so that I can bypass the TeamViewer timeout?
I am not an IT guy but can follow an article to replicate the process.
