Scrollbars showing in full screen mode

in Linux only

Hi, I'm connecting to my Ubuntu 20 machine at home from my Ubuntu 20 laptop at work, both screens are 1920x1080, but when I enter fullscreen mode I get scrollbars on my window on the client.

Is there any way to turn them off and clearly, they shouldn't be appearing in the first place.
