Quick support no password offered

So, I've read a few forum posts on this. But so far I haven't found one like mine. I bought an Android tv stick. It's painful using the remote control, so I'd like to use TeamViewer to control the android on my tv. (All other posts refer to a windows PC they're connecting to.). When I launch quick support on the tv, I'm given an ID but no password. I don't see anything in the settings to turn a password on
