cant access teamviewer,comes up with an error occurred while retrieving your license

    I also have this issue.

    See the error message that pops up when I try to run TeamViewer. You can see I do have a reasonable connection to the internet.


    If I try to login, the account id and password but the "Sign In" button is greyed out.


    I do have a valid License.!

  • further to my previous message I have granted access to TeamViewer.


  • I also temporarily disabled my Firewall for a few moments to check if the Firewall was blocking access to TeamViewer.

    But deactivating the Firewall made no difference.

    Unfortunately, Teamviewer does not get to the point of giving me an ID. I believe this would be due to connection failure retrieving my license.

    You may find your TeamViewer ID from Three line menu (≡) -> Help -> About TeamViewer

    Could you try this method, please?

    Instead of TeamViewer ID, it would be really great to confirm your email address or license information.

    I have this same problem. My TV id:


  • One more thing, uninstalled TV, rebooted and installed again. Same problem. Disabled the firewall, did not help.

    The most annoying bit of this is that it can't nag about the license in the background but has to pop the "An error occurred while retrieving your license" on top of the active window.

  • Same deal here.

    Tried posting a support ticket but it doesn't allow me in.

    Tried restarting etc. No luck either

    Tried buying a new license. Can't activate.
